Very Difficult People Becoming Christ Followers
One of the most dramatic results reported is the presence of more than 200 believers in one Unreached People Group where there were no believers prior to March 2005. Among the 200 believers, 60 are pursuing training as church planters.
Four years ago a fanatical Muslim region that martyred 6 Christian evangelists who were attempting to share Jesus in that area. In 2006 a partner ministry committed to go back into that area. They sent a researcher to evaluate the greatest physical need of the area. It turned out to be a need for a primary school. So the ministry negotiated with the local authorities to start a school pending the regions financial support for a teacher and a building to conduct the school. The person sent was a trained teacher, but also a highly trained church planter. Through storytelling and a slow introduction of praying for people he their won trust. After 15 months of compassionate, educational services, 9 churches had been planted in the region.
One church planter was chased out of a village by a Machete Man who told his friends that he sensed that the stranger was a Christian. The church planter ranfor his life, but four days later he sensed God calling him to return to the community. This time he was given permission to stay and "Machete Man" became the man of peace who assisted in starting churches in the region.
